Imagine you’re in a game. It’s a task oriented game, like the ones where we need a particular minimum score to be able to reach the next objective. That’s pretty much what life is too! They aren’t too metaphorical when they say life is a game because it indeed is one! The only difference between the ones we create and the one we live is its a single shot game. You don’t get another chance if you miss the step and go down the valley while running in the temple, or if you get hit by a turtle or a wild flower while you’re trying to save your lady love, or if you run out of chances while crushing your candy, or if you bang your bird in a pipeline.
Its a one time shot.
And like the levels, we’re all here for a purpose. It could be anything. From finally being successful, to transforming your clan from poor to rich. From becoming famous, to maybe even losing the stardom and living a normal life. Everyone has a predefined purpose to fulfill during a lifetime; just like a predefined objective in a level.
But what happens if you find a level too difficult? You might give yourself some rest and analyse or give it up for a while in frustration. You might as well just keep fiddling with it trying all your angles to get through. But do you ever just uninstall the game because this one level refuses to let you through? Do you literally give up on the game? No! You Google the cheats, or you ask help from people who’ve gotten through or you try yourself or you do anything to move it ahead.
Why then do we give up on life?
Why then does one enormous break in our road cause us to stop trying to jump and reach the end of the temple? Why then do we not try to kill the turtle or the wild flower that’s been keeping us away from our love? Why then do we not keep trying to make special powers to break out candies faster? And why then do we not try to control our taps to make sure our little birdie doesn’t get hit?
Why is it so difficult for us to hold on and fight it through till it finally decides to go away because it knows it cannot beat us? They’re not wrong again, when they say God only puts you through difficult times because He knows you’ll make it in the end and it’ll leave you a stronger person. We have all as infants fallen so many times only to finally be able to walk one day. Now what if a baby decided it was too much for him and he should probably die because he cannot take it and its the most difficult situation ever? What if he never tries to get through and just gives up? That is the most difficult thing in that tiny’s life right? But no child ever, EVER, gave up. Why then do we let things take over us so much so, we want to give it our lives.
I think this life, this one particular life that we get, is a bliss in itself. Why do we want to curse it then, to the point where we don’t want it at all.
I understand things get bad, and they pile and its huge and it pushes you down beyond your capacity. And you still hold on and it still pushes you down. And you still hold on and the pressure only increases. I get it all. But hon, its not as huge. You can come out of it. Use your power up! Use your special power to just boom the entire pile and get up, stand and smile. Give the ugly pile your widest smile and watch go so far away it will never ever return.
You can do it all. You can come out of anything life throws at you because nothing is bigger than you. It takes time, like everything else. But, it doesn’t stay there. When all good things come to an end, all bad comes to an end too!
Its a phase. It’ll pass..
